Supporting athletes who earn modest incomes but compete at major sporting events, so a tight budget never has to mean giving up on sport.
Financial Inclusion
A microfinance program that provides grants to help wheelchair athletes start small and medium businesses — building financial independence alongside athletic careers.

Working toward a multi-sports complex that brings sport and education under one roof, giving differently-abled individuals the resources to excel in both.

History of Our Academy
Founded in 2016, Divyaang Myithri Sports Academy began its journey with a clear mission to empower individuals with disabilities through the transformative power of sports.
2017
Introduced wheelchair cricket in South India
2019
Set up a dedicated wheelchair cricket nets facility
2020
Four DMSA athletes represented India
2023
Hosted a National Handball event
2024
Launched the Pan-India Ability Sports League
Along the way, DMSA also introduced wheelchair kabaddi and volleyball, trained 100+ athletes from the South Zone, reached the finals of national events three times, and has organized 20+ events and coaching camps across wheelchair cricket, basketball, and handball.

Records & Milestones
First-Ever Pink-Ball Test
Karnataka and Tamil Nadu played the first pink-ball day-night test match in wheelchair cricket history in Tuticorin, officially registered in the Triumph World Records. Sagar Lamani became the format's first-ever centurion.
2 Athletes, Team India, 5–0 Series Win
Sagar (Vice-Captain) and Hareesh (Captain) represented India in the APL Apollo Wheelchair Cricket T20 Series against Sri Lanka — a clean 5-match sweep for the national team.
Ability Sports League Goes National
What began as a Karnataka-only league expanded to 6 cities in Season 3 — Bengaluru, Chennai, Lucknow, Chandigarh, Gwalior, and Mumbai — with every player paid an equal match fee.

Forty-plus people who show up, week after week, and hold the whole thing together.
Almost nothing at Divyaang Myithri happens without volunteers. They are on the ground at every weekend practice session, setting up courts and working alongside our athletes. They run our tournaments end to end — logistics, scoring, match-day operations. They put our games on air, manage our social channels, and make sure everyone is fed between innings.
They are students, working professionals, para-athletes, parents, and friends of the academy. Most of them came for one match day and simply kept coming back.

Corporate Volunteering
Companies have made this part of how their teams give back. Cognizant has been the clearest example — their volunteers turn out in numbers on match days, running operations shoulder to shoulder with our athletes, and they have been with us through the Ability Sports League and the Karnataka Wheelchair Premier League. If your organisation wants to do the same, we can host groups of 10 to 50 across a tournament weekend.

The highest T20 total in wheelchair cricket history
Team Karnataka posted 292 runs in 20 overs at the International Purple Fest in Goa — then swept every individual award on offer: best batter, best bowler, and best fielder of the tournament.
