Beginners Wheelchair Cricket Camp, Tumakuru

DMSA runs 2–3 beginner camps every year to find new talent and give them the right start. In 2024, that meant two days in Tumakuru, May 11–12, for a Beginner's Wheelchair Cricket Camp.

Participants were trained directly by Indian wheelchair cricketers and mentored by senior Karnataka state players — covering wheelchair movement technique, the rules of the game, match scenarios, fitness drills, and the mental strength the sport demands.

Camps like this one are where DMSA's pipeline starts: several athletes who now play at state and national level first picked up the sport at a beginner camp exactly like it.
