International Purple Fest 2024: Karnataka's Record-Breaking Run

Divyaang Myithri opened its 2024 season at the International Purple Fest in Goa, held January 8–13 — the first edition of the festival to feature wheelchair cricket, drawing eight top teams from across India.
Team Karnataka's campaign was one for the record books. En route to the final, they posted 292 runs in 20 overs, the highest team total ever recorded in a wheelchair cricket T20 match. The team also swept every individual award on offer: Praveen Kalla took Best Bowler, Hareesh Kumar took Best Batter, and Sagar Gowda took Best Fielder of the tournament.
In the final against Delhi, Karnataka posted a total of 136 runs in 20 overs. Delhi chased it down by a narrow 2-wicket margin to claim the title, but Karnataka's runners-up finish — built on a tournament-record total and a clean sweep of individual honors — was one of the standout performances of the festival.
